\nI know I watched a Holt DVD which had scenes from A Christmas Carol. It was a media DVD of some sort with various clips of media productions used in lessons.
\nWhy is A Christmas Carol not in the Holt text??? I have been planning on teaching A Christmas Carol after Thanksgiving break and having seen the DVD I naturally assume that meant the story was in the text.....HELP!! Why would they have the scenes from the story on a DVD and then not include the story in the text???

\nThe clip for A Christmas Carole is on the McDougal MediaSmart CD.\u00a0 It is not the full version of the movie, just a clip that is used in teaching media literacy.\u00a0 This component is part of the McDougal program, but is offered as an option for Holt program as well, because of the merged company.\u00a0 MediaSmart is a stand-alone product that can be used with either of the two programs. \nIt has come to my attention that there have been a few errors in the tech pieces that were sent out to some of the pilot teachers.\u00a0 Below is a recap:

\n7th grade pilot teachers may have received the 8th grade (red) Teacher One-Stop CD.\u00a0 I am sending the correct 7th Grade version out to each 7th grade pilot teacher.\u00a0 It will be yellow and say \u201cFirst Course\u201d.

\nWordSharp: InterActive Vocabulary Tutor DVD ROM
\nAll pilot teachers were sent the 6th grade (Blue- Intro Course) version by mistake.\u00a0 7th and 8th grade pilot teachers will be sent the correct versions.

\nWritingNotes, GrammarNotes CD\u2019s
\nThese CD\u2019s only come in Level 1, which is meant to be used across all grades 6-8.\u00a0 The fact that the color of the package is blue and it says Level 1 makes some 7\/8 grade teachers think that they have the wrong grade level, which they don\u2019t. The ones they have are correct.

\nInterActive Spelling Levels 1, 2, 3 CD ROM
\nThis CD is also meant to be used across all grade levels 6-8.

\nTeachers should be aware that all of their resources are also available online.
